Try These Mulberry Desserts Recipe

Mulberry Crumble Cake

Ingredients:

Mulberry – 1 cup

Icing sugar – 1/2 cup (to serve)

Cake Batter:

– Butter – 100 g

– Self – rising flour – 1 cup

– Sugar – 1/2 cup

– Milk – 2 tbsp.

– Vanilla essence – 1 tsp

– Egg – 2

– Apple – 1 (grated)

Crumble:

– Butter – 75 g

– Self-rising flour 1 cup

– Caster sugar – 1/2 cup

– Water – 1 tbsp.

– Vanilla sugar 1/2 tsp

Method for Preparation

  1. Take a round cake pan and grease it lightly with butter and then line base it with the foil or baking paper.
  2. Now, coat the sides lightly with the flour or breadcrumbs. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
  3. In a food processor add all the ingredients of the crumble and process the mixture until it is crumbled and then place it in fridge.
  4. Take a deep bowl and place all the ingredients of the cake except apple. Beat it on high for around two minutes.
  5. Fold in the grated apple. Place the cake batter in to the tin and level it. Sprinkle fresh mulberries on the top.
  6. Sprinkle the crumb over the mulberry topping.
  7. Bake for around 50 minutes. You can know the cake is done when it comes away from the side of the tin.
  8. Turn the cake on a wire rack to cool. Dust it with icing sugar. Serve.

 Mulberry Pudding

Mulberries – 4 cups

Sugar – 1/3 cup

Lemon juice – 2 tsp

Shortening – 4 tbsp.

Brown sugar – 1/3 cup

Flour – 1/3 cup

Oatmeal – 3/4 cup

Method for Preparation

  1. Take a 1-1/2 quart-baking dish and place the mulberries in to it.
  2. Now sprinkle lemon juice, sugar, brown sugar and cream shortening in to it.
  3. Blend in oatmeal and flour and then spread over the berries.
  4. Preheat the oven in 325 degree Fahrenheit and bake it for around 35 minutes.

 Mulberry Cobbler

Ingredients:

Ripe mulberries – 1 qt

White sugar – 1 cup

Sifted flour – 1 cup

Baking powder – 1 tsp.

Salt – 1/4 tsp.

Stick butter – 1/2 cup (melted)

Milk – 3/4 cup

Method for Preparation

  1. Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients by hand except mulberries.
  2. On a stove, heat the mulberries but you should be careful not to scorch them.
  3. Take an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking dish, grease it and pour half of the batter in to it.
  4. Add the fruit in to and then pour the batter over it.
  5. Preheat the oven in 400 degree and bake the pudding for about 40 minutes or until brown.

Mulberry Ice Cream Recipe

Fresh mulberries – 1 1/2 cups

Raw honey or coconut sugar – 1/4 cup

Raw whole milk – 3/4 cup

Rah heavy cream – 1 1/2 cups

Pure vanilla extracts 1 1/2 tsp

Pinch of salt

Method of Preparation

  1. Blend the mulberries and then add sugar and vanilla in to it.
  2. Take a medium bowl and combine the sugar, salt and milk by using a hand mixer on a low speed. Stir in vanilla and heavy cream. Stir the berries in to it.
  3. Pour the mixture in to the freezer bowl and mix it for around 20-25 minutes.
  4. Add the reserved sliced strawberries in to 5 minutes before mixing is completed. Freeze it for around 2 hours.
